One of our HEAD START children has his father taking care of him because the mother is in prison. The HEAD START Program has been there to provide child care so the father can work. With the assistance of HEAD START FAMILY SERVICES the father has been able to apply for Medicaid, TANF, and the ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP). The family has already been approved for Medicaid and TANF and the EAP is in process. These services have been a great assistance to the father who now feels he can provide a stable home for his child.
