We recently had many people enroll in our WORKFORCE STRATEGIES and KEYS TO SUCCESS programs. One enrollee really stood out from the rest. She had recently finished her final dose of radiation therapy for cancer the month before enrolling. Since the cancer was hard to deal with both emotionally and financially, she and her daughter were living with her parents. She needed financial stability to get a place of her own. Ready to work and anxious to get some help, she came in for assistance. COMMUNITY SERVICES AGENCY (CSA) worked closely with her to develop a new resume and cover letter. With the help of our Employment Specialists she did job searches online as well as “cold calling” offices in town. Together we worked to find her a full time position in a dental office. She is now working, feeling great and looking for the perfect apartment.
