Community Services Agency’s Workforce Development program empowers participants to build new skills and meet their employment goals. Eligible participants have an opportunity to benefit from a variety of services that support job skill development, enrollment in technical training, identification of career pathways, and removal of barriers to employment. Whether you’re looking for a career change, working multiple part-time jobs, impacted by a layoff or termination, or you’re new to the workforce, CSA can help prepare you for success.

If you’ve ever wanted to obtain technical/vocational training but have never found the time or the money, CSA has a wonderful opportunity for you. CSA's workforce development program is an invaluable resource for both employees and employers. The ability for CSA to not only prepare job seekers for employment, but to be able to fund trainings for students has proved to be an indispensable service in producing a stronger workforce, particularly in the healthcare field.

If you’re a young adult that is new to the workforce, CSA has specially designed programs to help you gain the skills you need to secure a job in one of northern Nevada’s in-demand careers. Not sure where to start? Our trained Employment Specialists can help you identify a career pathway that matches your skills, interests, and values.
CSA also has a 12-week, paid work experience
program specifically for young adults ages 18-24. This program will help you gain professional skills and the work experience you need to secure a job
and get a jump start on your career.

CSA has established partnerships with local training providers to assist job seekers in obtaining the skills needed to secure a position in one of these in-demand occupations. We work hard to bridge the gap between employer and employee by building strong relationships with local companies looking to increase their workforce size and skills.

Companies make an investment when they hire someone new and we are committed to helping employers maximize that investment. Our experienced staff listens to your needs and works toward finding workers that are the right fit for the position and your organization.
Our no cost services go beyond basic employment match-making. CSA Employment Specialists perform extensive interviews to help jobseekers determine candidate strengths. We do the legwork when it comes to preparing workers for a variety of positions. We expose jobseekers to an array of workshops and fund training opportunities. Lastly, we stay in touch with jobseekers after placement to offer support to help them keep that job.
Employer partners also have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Nevadans by participating in our 12-week work experience and on-the-job training programs. Employers who hire our participants or provide work sites are offered subsidized reimbursement of their new employee’s wages. Preference is given to employers offering continued employment beyond the training period.
